Amatrol’s Smart Factory Analog Position Sensor Learning Systems come in both Allen-Bradley and Siemens versions:

  • Allen-Bradley: Smart Factory Sensor Learning System – AB CompactLogix L16, Analog Position (87-SN7AB53A)

  • Siemens: Smart Factory Sensor Learning System – Siemens S7-1500, Analog Position (87-SN7S715)

These systems teach Ethernet (Allen-Bradley) or PROFINET (Siemens) bi-directional communications between analog position sensors and other intelligent automation devices in a Smart Factory environment to communicate data via I/O Link protocol. The module can be individually configured as IO-Link master, or as a standard digital I/O module.

The Smart Factory network communications training systems feature real-world equipment learners will encounter on the job, including analog position sensor modules. The systems combine hands-on skills practice with in-depth multimedia curriculum for a well-rounded learning experience that will prepare learners to make an immediate impact in the technologically-advanced Smart Factory environments of the present and future.

Practice on Real-World Equipment Using Smart Factory Components

Using Amatrol’s Smart Factory Analog Position training systems, students learn essential skills using industrial-quality equipment they’ll use in the workplace. For example, learners will gain valuable hands-on experience with both an 8-channel Ethernet/IP communications switch (Allen-Bradley) or 4-port managed PROFINET switch (Siemens). Using this real-world equipment, learners will practice specific skills, such as function, operation, configuration of Analog Sensors in a Smart Factory setting.

Learn Industry-Applicable Analog Sensor Skills

With Amatrol’s comprehensive curriculum, students cover a wide variety of Analog Sensor skills. For example, learners will study Ethernet/IP & PROFINET communications modules, and Analog Position Sensor modules. Additional skills and topics include smart sensor concepts, operation, set-up, and configuration; PLC programming; and I/O Link protocol.
